Hi, I'm Erin and in my second month of pregnancy.

I have been informally doing yoga for a few months, mostly as a way to relax and stretch my large muscles. Beofre pregnancy, I had PCOS and my main symtoms are bulky muscles. Without stretching and moving them well, I get all manners of aches and pains.

I consider myself to be healthy, but not in optimal physical condition for birth. Already since telling a few close people about the pregnancy, I am amazed at how many people believe that a pregnant woman is fragile and will break if she gets off the couch. My body is preparing to labor in 7-8 months and I plan on being in good shape for it. I believe it will not only make birthing easier, but lower the chance of problems leading to the need for interventions.

At any rate, I'm glad to be here and look forward to hearing about new ways to use yoga to relax and prepare for birth.
